Peace Camp

A popular annual CENTER program is Peace Camp, a weeklong, half-day program in late summer for children from across the community. Its purpose is to model values of cooperation and friendship, to promote appreciation for cultural diversity, and to teach concrete skills for resolving conflict that are constructive and nonviolent. The unique curriculum developed by CENTER volunteers is available for use by other interested organizations. Volunteers are needed to help with teaching, recreation, music, and meal preparation.

Peace Camps for 2007 were held July 16 to 20 and again July 30 to August 3. Information for 2008 will be announced here after the first of the year. Contact Bill Beachy for more information.
