Peace Party 2017

TOPEKA CENTER FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE CELEBRATES COMMUNITY PEACE BUILDERS AT ANNUAL PEACE AND JUSTICE PARTY

The Topeka Center for Peace and Justice’s 5th Annual Peace and Justice Party will be held on Tuesday, October 17, in the Ramada Inn, 420 SE 6th.  Members and friends of the TCPJ will be able to visit, meet new people, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, and honor six individuals or groups for their significant contributions to our community.  The doors will open at 6 p.m., and dinner will start at 6:30 p.m.

One person or group in each of five categories–individual/couple/family; organization; faith community; education; media; and youth/youth organization–will be announced that evening for their efforts and accomplishments that advance the TCPJ vision of a world where people everywhere live in harmony. Honorees exhibit a respect for diversity, tolerance and acceptance with a special interest in non-violent approaches to global and community problems.

In addition to the socializing, dinner, and awards, you will also be able to enjoy lovely music and, if desired, bid on silent auction items.

You won’t want to miss this special event!  Tickets are $40 and information will be forthcoming regarding details for purchase.  Keep checking our website!

If you have any questions, please call the TCPJ office:  785-232-4388.

We hope to see you there!
