The CENTER promotes justice and peace through education and action for social change by working with individuals and organizations in the greater Topeka community. It works to network with and support other community organizations and congregations.
The CENTER organizes projects that appeal to a wide audience and that empower people.
The CENTER works to improve the effectiveness of the statewide coalition for workers' rights, social justice and economic fairness, the Kansas Action Network.
The CENTER, since its early days as the Peace Resource Center, continues to provide books and video tapes pertaining to issues of peace and justice. In addition it maintains a comprehensive file system on both issues of the day and organizations addressing those issues.
CENTER activities, from its Victim Offender Mediation Project, to the annual Martin Luther King Celebration (Whose Dream Is It?), to the popular Peace Camp, demonstrate these purposes and are described in this site.
